About Jonas Nygaard, our Clinical Director

Jonas is like a medical Sherlock Holmes. He uses his understanding of the human body to discover the root causes of his patient’s medical issues. Then, Jonas applies Photobiomodulation Therapy to heal them.
Besides considerable experience in Photobiomodulation Therapy, he also holds a Masters in Chiropractic and continues to practice. As Jonas says: you can’t take the chiropractor out of me, so if you would benefit from chiropractic, please ask.
In addition, he brings his interests in nutrition, exercise and rehabilitation, and biomechanics to inform his diagnosis:
1. Biomechanics
Jonas has a wealth of knowledge in biomechanics (the science of the movement of the body, including how muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments work together), the autonomic nervous system and substantial experience in gym settings.
2. Nutrition
Nutritionally, as a former Danish fitness competitor – a national champion and Scandinavian bronze winner – he knows a great deal about what is good for the body and, just as importantly, what isn’t. This includes gut health and the adverse impact of inflammatory foods.
3. Exercise and rehabilitation
Exercise has been an important part of Jonas’ life for the past 30 years. Having competed internationally and sustained injuries, he has been through the journey of recovery many times and has extensive knowledge of rehabilitation.

I am writing to express my gratitude for the Photobiomodulation Therapy I received at your clinic in Marlow.
Under your care I have experienced a significant transformation in my life.
Before the treatment I was diagnosed with spinal arthrosis, which severely affected my ability to walk and caused me immense pain.
But thanks to your expertise and the Photobiomodulation Therapy, I have seen remarkable improvements. The pain has significantly reduced, and I can now walk comfortably.
Your professionalism, dedication, and compassionate care have truly made a difference in my life.
I am incredibly thankful for your help in improving my quality of life and enabling me to leave the pain and limitations behind.

About Photobiomodulation Therapy – why it’s so effective

Surgery and medication serve a purpose but Jonas believes that they should be the last resort.
Photobiomodulation Therapy, better known as laser therapy, is a natural, non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive therapy that helps the body to heal better and faster.
This cutting-edge therapy, which used to be accessible only by top athletes, is now available for everyone.
The healing laser light penetrates tissue up to 4cm in depth. Passing through bone, muscle, ligament and tendon, it stimulates cells to heal faster by reducing oxidative stress.
So, for instance, success rates are 80-85% in reducing symptoms associated with chronic pain.
Laaser Health offers high power laser therapy (HPLT), using MLS® Laser technology which, unlike low level laser therapy (LLLT), generates less heat and penetrates through tissue to a deeper level.
About MLS® Laser Therapy – why it’s better

Laaser Health uses the ASA MiS device, a never-before-seen performance, capable of combining the synchronized action of MLS® Laser Therapy with Hilterapia® distinctive pulsed power.
Laaser Health uses the ASA MiS device with the state-of-the-art Multi-Wave Locked System® (MLS®). This system uses specific wavelengths of light to ease chronic and acute pain and speed healing.
The very high, instantaneous peak power, and a controlled average power, makes it extremely effective while safeguarding patients’ safety.
The modulation in short pulses allows in fact to ‘tame’ the peak power, taking advantage of its therapeutic benefits in complete safety, avoiding damaging thermal effects.
In addition to the therapeutic characteristics typical of the MLS® family, MiS finds an application in peripheral neuropathies, as demonstrated by ASA campus scientific research.
The application of MiS in a recognised model of chronic neuropathic pain shows a clear and lasting reduction in pain symptomatology, accompanied by functional recovery.
From the biological point of view, the treatment with MiS promotes the recovery of the nerve fibres that have been damaged in the lesion area, as confirmed by histological and immunohistochemical evaluations. Specifically, sheath reorganization is important both for nerve trophism and conduction.
